RHHS BSAP “Rising Scholars” Program
The BSAP “Rising Scholars” Program at RHHS is composed of students in the 9th, or 10th grade who have been referred to the program by their middle school counselors, high school counselors, teachers or parents. These students generally have a GPA between 1.7 and 2.4, or have been identified to need support in order to be successful. The program that is used is a 28 week session of personal development workshops designed to provide the student with a rich cultural background, skills for personal development and identification of academic resources.
“Rising Scholars” and the Black Student Achievement Program (BSAP), Academic Mentor Assistant (ATA), Mrs. Harriet Lee meet after school on Monday or Thursday, to review information regarding “Organizing Your School Work using your Agenda Book, “How to Take Tests” and “ Selecting Your Friends”, just to name a few.
In partnership with teachers, guidance counselors and parents, the BSAP ATA collaborates so that all information that can benefit the success of the student is identified.
If you would like to recommend your child for this program, please contact me, Mrs. Harriet B. Lee , the BSAP ATA on 410 313-7120 or 410 313-5446. Please leave your name and contact number and I will return your call.
